3. Homestay Applications

Submitting a Student Application or Host Family Application does not guarantee acceptance, approval, or placement.

AHO may review applications and request additional information before determining whether an applicant is suitable for a homestay arrangement.

AHO may decline an application or determine that a particular student and host family are not an appropriate match.

4. Homestay Matching

AHO aims to make thoughtful and suitable homestay matches based on information provided by students and host families.

A successful match cannot be guaranteed.

Students and host families are responsible for providing accurate and complete information relevant to the homestay arrangement.

A homestay arrangement may be subject to additional agreements, policies, fees, and conditions provided by AHO.

5. Students and Host Families

Students and host families are expected to communicate honestly and respectfully and to comply with applicable laws and the terms of any agreement they enter into with AHO or with each other.

Additional responsibilities, rules, fees, cancellation provisions, and other conditions may be set out in separate homestay agreements or policies.

If there is a conflict between these Terms of Use and a signed homestay agreement, the applicable homestay agreement will govern the homestay relationship to the extent permitted by law.
